Education,Human Capital and Developmnet

Human Capital plays a critical role in promoting economic growth and 
development in all countries. All high performing, East Asian countries made
concerted efforts to build up large pools of high quality human capital which
produced direct and indirect favourable effects on those countries’ economic
growth and development.
But the success in the creation of this human capital depends virtually in
any country on the expansion of high quality education to both, boys and girls
as well as men and women. Educated boys and girls would tend to marry late,
and educated married couples would tend to have fewer children than
uneducated couples. Therefore for a large developing country, a policy of
achieving one hundred percent adult literacy rate, would itself act as a very
effective population control policy.
